KSRTC and BMTC

KSRTC and BMTC are one of the best run transport services in the country.KSRTC made a profit of 27 crores for the 2007 financial year,that is something amazing according to me

BMTC on the other hand which was always running into losses is on the anvil of posting a profit of around 190 crores,that is simply mind blowing

I have always been a fan of the this transport organisation.They were one of the first to launch volvo for inter/intra state as well as for the city.Although they are doing well,they cant just sit and roll over their profits,they need to keep on improving.

Recently my dad was on a Rajahamsa bus to Mlore and apparently the bus broke down at arnd 2 am,it was a small screw of the gear which has apparently fallen off,he entered the chennaraypatna bus station.There is a mechanical supervisor at that place,but apparently he wont fix the thing since the bus doesnt belong to that depot.:( that is strange ,the driver finally travelled to a nearby depot where he is authorised and given the screw,the supervisor finally fixes it for the driver.This really pisses me off.

NOTE : The luxury bus driver was given the option of taking a red bus -ordinary one but apparently the driver thought otherwise since the passengers would be inconvinienced for the small issue.


If KSRTC wants to become a world leader ,it needs to plug such small red tapism issues.Make no mistake even by this incident it is better than all the other transport organizations who just dump the bus in the middle of the night.
